Presenting Donation Check to SQSH

June 27 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Donation to SQSH

SQSH philosophy is that every LGBTQIA+ person deserves to be treated with compassion and dignity – because queer spirits, bodies, and narratives are inherently sacred and in disposable.

Who We Are: We are a grassroots, community-based collective dedicated to facilitating healing spaces and building community capacity for queer St. Louisans to thrive. We are a group of queer activists and organizers working toward our collective liberation by creating anti-oppressive community spaces and radically reimagining our systems of healing and support.

Our Vision: We dream of a liberated St. Louis Metro Area where people of all genders and sexualities live with power, safety, and abundance. We strive to interrupt and transform our responses to harm through peer support, resource connections, political education, relationship-building, storytelling, and working towards healing justice.

Our Mission: Our mission is to support the St. Louis LGBTQIA+ community’s capacity to tap into alternative approaches to violence/harm, through:

  • Non-hierarchical peer support and relationship-building

  • Fostering connections with identity-affirming resources and healing spaces

  • Sharpening our political analysis of oppressive systems that impact our community

  • Building community power and systems of feedback + accountability

  • Facilitating education and advocacy to uplift queer St. Louisan stories
